For most of the 20th century, government agents systematically forced Native American children from their homes and placed them with white families. As recently as the 1970’s, one in four Native children nationwide were living in non-Native foster care, adoptive homes, or boarding schools.

Native Mission

Truth & Reconciliation

The world is changing and we have found ourselves in a time where we can either stand or fall. For hundreds of years, the native people of this country have been slaughtered. Whether by true death, or death of the spirit caused by a government that may have intended for good, but its systems have failed us in a way that for which no excuse is acceptable. The Native people are an all accepting people. We believe that we are all connected from the grass beneath our feet to the clouds in the sky where our ancestors watch and guide us. We believe that no human being should be a victim of another mans evil pursuits. We believe in harmony among men and women alike from any land. The TRC of America is where we will find the answers to heal bleeding systems of government that are oppressing human beings. And we will start from the beginning, the first to be oppressed, the children. The children who still have the spirit of a dancing doe, and the children who have grown  up suffering and no longer can find that light within them. Pain travels through generations and time and people...and we shall not let this pain continue.

-Andrea Freeman, TRC President
